The sequel to Zack Snyder’s original 300 that starred Gerard Butler, Rise of an Empire is a great film to watch on a big screen with a high quality DVD in your player.

Behind the Scenes: Taking the Battle to Sea

With a running time of about 8 minutes, this bonus has interviews with the cast and crew of 300: Rise of an Empire talking about production for the battle scenes on the sea.

The whole set was basically a green screen with partial sets of the heaving ships with absolutely no water and how the producers and director crafted these sequences is interesting to watch.

Since 300 has a look that is unique the goal was not to make it look realistic. Also, how they trained for hand-to-hand combat features in the bonus. One gets the feeling of a little playground and you appreciate the herculean skills of the CGI animators who transform it all into an epic battleground with piercing swords, severed limbs and gushing blood.

The DVD also has a Languages option so you can watch it in Hindi if you like. The quality of both audio and video are amazing.
