This movie wins for worst film of the year so far. Farts and baby talk as well as montages to a terrible soundtrack abound. This is a franchise that needs to go on a permanent vacation.

Doing the family vacation episode sets up a situation for new antics, but in the case of Transylvania 3, there is absolutely nothing original or entertaining on offer.

Mavis (Selena Gomez) plans a cruise to the lost city of Atlantis – now found – for her lonely dad Dracula (Adam Sandler) so the family can spend time together. And off they go. But the monster’s old nemesis Van Helsing and his daughter plot to sink their plans of fun and frolic.

Hotel Transylvania 3 is so poorly written and starving for ideas that they fill it with gibberish dialogue, farts, unnecessary musical interludes, old witches ogling an old vampire’s saggy ass and way too much silliness to be funny. There is no wit or humour, only crass comedy and tired jokes. The plot is overused and the characters are irritating. There is no heart, even to the ‘love story’ between Dracula and the ship’s captain Ericka (Kathryn Hahn).

This is one of the worst animated franchises ever and needs a stake in the heart so it can rest forever. The second Hotel Transylvania at least catered to adults.  I wouldn’t even subject kids under 10 to this nonsense.
