Minority-Review’s Swati Sharan is running about from screenings to press conferences at TIFF 2014. And she’s asking some great questions to the stars and crew of the films.

Here’s the video at the PC for the movie The Forger, directed by Philip Martin and starring John Travolta, Abigail Spencer, Christopher Plummer and Tye Sheridan.

Swati asks John Travolta and Tye Sheridan a question and director Philip Martin one during the event at timelines 13:00 mins and 27:00 mins respectively.

She asked them about the preparation they went through for their roles in The Forger. And whether they did any research by attending support groups for people with cancer or their loved ones. Tye mentioned how he did go to a cancer centre but then felt bad asking the sick patients there about this because of their condition and so, he took used his imagination about what it would feel like if he were to find out about it all of a sudden just like his character does.

John said, “I’ve had enough life experiences to know about tragedy so I didn’t need to do research into that. But I did do research for being a painter.” He hired a painter from Hong Kong and consulted professional forgers including one in France about the intricacies of their craft.
