With a flurry of comic book and super hero movies heading our way each year, you could say we’re not as excited for the next round of them to come out. Now that DC’s entered the ring, 2016 will possibly see the highest number of comic book movies released so far. DC and Warner Bros. have ‘Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice’ and ‘Suicide Squad’ rolling out; Walt Disney and Marvel Studios have ‘Captain America: Civil War’ & ‘Dr. Strange’ and 20th Century FOX has ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’, ‘Gambit’ and what looks the best of the lot, the one and only Merc with a Mouth, ‘Deadpool’.

While the foray into the DC Cinematic Universe might tickle our fancy; more Marvel Cinematic Universe movies just mean more movies that are as good as the previous ones but with less appeal because we’ve seen them be awesome before so now they have to find a whole new level of awesomeness for people to be awed by them and we’ve all loved (X-Men and X2 but also hated ‘Last Stand’ and ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’) the X-Men franchise at some point.

Deadpool takes the cake, after years of waiting and being spurned by FOX for a proper adaptation for the Merc with a Mouth, we’re finally getting one thanks to leaked test footage, as well as Ryan Reynolds’ and Deadpool fans’ reaction to it. And, it is glorious. In the trailer, amongst a cascade of R-rated humour and goodness we get to see Deadpool break the fourth wall by referencing Ryan Reynolds’s stint as Hal Jordan the Green Lantern whose costume was enhanced by CGI and Animation.

In the Trailer for the Trailer (Yes, you heard me, you can watch it here -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QPZHBjyUGhQ) Deadpool even takes shots at FOX for sowing his mouth shut in ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’. And, in the SDCC Trailer (which had a few extra scenes in comparison to the trailer that was just released today, he called Colossus a, ‘Chrome plated cock gobbler’.  All, very much true to who and what Deadpool is in the comics. A fourth wall-breaking Mercenary with regenerative powers, a twisted psyche, impressive skills and a unique sense of humour makes him one of the most fun Marvel Characters in the MCU.

There are two versions of the trailer, the Red Band Trailer, which is the proper one:

and the Green Band Trailer, which is for sensitive whiny ass bitches or underage children who probably shouldn’t be watching this Fucktastic Awesomefest of Awesomesauce Awesomeness anyway:

I don’t know if this movie will ever see a proper release in a country like India whose government bans swearing or adult language in films to the extent that words like ‘Shit’, ‘Sex’ and ‘Ass’ are censored. There’s also the Ban Beef and Ban Porn atrocities but this trailer is just chocked full of D’Pooley goodness and after watching it, I was sufficiently aroused by its scale of Bad-Assery. So in the words of Deadpool, “I’m touching myself tonight.” (What? We don’t have any porn now.)
