Planes: Fire & Rescue was supposed to go direct to DVD apparently but Disney thought why not cash in on the popularity of the franchise and the first Planes film and release this one. It didn’t pay off.

 Here’s my review of the film:

There’s a short film called Vitaminamulch: Air Spectacular. In it, Dusty the crop duster has to impersonate a famous stunt plane for an anxious audience. It’s pretty lacklustre and isn’t funny or entertaining at all. They’re short film Feast that preceded the infinitely better Big Hero 6 was far more touching and creative.

The DVD also has some Sneak Peeks:

There are trailers for the aforementioned Big Hero 6 as well as Maleficent. You also get some info on Disneyland Paris’s new attraction, Ratatouille: The Adventure as well as Star Wars Rebels on Disney XD and their Adopt a Puffle game.

This DVD also features Disney Fast Play, which means you can skip directly to the movie without having to watch any of the previews or fiddle with the main menu.
